How to spot a fake "Sammy"
Scammers sometimes copy real people's stories. Be careful if someone using Sammy's name:
- asks you for money, a "fee", gift cards, crypto, travel or visa costs;
- says you must pay to receive the marriage gift;
- pushes you to decide quickly or to keep secrets from your family;
- writes from an address that is not on applytomarry.com and claims to be "Sammy's office" or "Sammy's agent".
Sammy has no agent and no office. The only website is applytomarry.com, and its email addresses end in @applytomarry.com.
Report a scam
If anyone asks you for money in Sammy's name, stop all contact and write to safety@applytomarry.com. Please also report it to the police or the consumer protection office in your country.
